Vancouver West
The West Side area is close to the downtown core (5 to 10 minutes by car), however it is renown for its friendly "neighborhood" atmosphere of many smaller cities. Vancouver International Airport is only a 15 minute drive away from most parts of the West Side. Beaches, parks gardens and many popular tourist attractions are located in this area. Some of the more popular attractions in the area are: Kitsilano Beach, Granville Island, False Creek, Museum of Anthropology, and the University of British Columbia.

The West End/Downtown is an exciting urban neighborhood with a diverse cosmopolitan population. Bars, night clubs, restaurants, and coffee shops occupy most of the space along the sides of the pedestrian oriented streets. |

Yaletown and the West End are the most desirable locations of this high-density city living type of environment. Some of the popular attractions in the area are: Stanley Park, English Bay, Gastown, Vancouver public library, excellent shopping and entertainment. Keeping some people away is the dense population, limited and expensive parking, heavy traffic, and higher crime rates than in residential communities.
